MY FATE MY DESTINY 12.

MY FATE MY DESTINY
Mr Christopher opened the file he took from his Cabinet and began his story. " Your father and J.p okon were room mate in school. They were very close and their friendship continued long after they graduated the university. Your father was an accountant and J.p a lawyer.

They were different in many ways but they loved each other like brothers. J.p was your father's legal adviser. They told each other everything and nothing was a secret between them. J.p started this firm and later I became his partner that was how I came to know about your father and their friendship.

However tragedy struck one night, J.p okon was found dead in this office and that same day, I heard from the network news about your fathers armed robbery attack that left him and
his family dead. I knew something was not right, how can two friends die the same day.

I investigated the case for a long time but didn't find any evidence to discover and  apprehend those involved. The police after some years closed the case but I didn't stop searching. Then I came across this file while trying to renovate this office. The file didn't contain any evidence but it gave me insight to why both friends were killed. According to this documents,  J.p and your father has large shares with the company you father works for. Also your father discovered irregularities in the company's accounts that could damage the company and with it their investments. They began an investigation to determine the culprit.  However this file didn't contain their evidence or any documents to prove they bought shares from Butler and shelfied international"

After mr. Christopher finished narrating his story I was more confused. If J.p is dead how can I find my father's murderer. I wanted to weep in frustration but his next words stopped me "J.p okon and your father has a safe deposit box in lagos. I have been paying the company to keep the Box intact all this years. I do not have the keys to open the box and the company refused to open it for me because I was not related to any of them. The box might contain the evidence we need to bring those responsible to justice".

On hearing this, I remembered the documents and bunch of keys in my possession. I didn't tell him about the documents, not until I can trust him.

I became hopeful again." When do we travel to lagos" I asked mr christopher.    " tomorrow, the sooner the better" he replied. "Thank you so much for your time i am indeed grateful" I said. Aunt christy held my hands as we left the office "you are not alone, we would get to the root of this matter together" she said to me. Those few words gave me strength again.

What did they find in the safe? Was it useful or just a set back.. Sit back and relax.
